Privacy Policy

LAST UPDATED: APRIL 18, 2026

Strict Privacy-First Approach

Limitra is built with a strict privacy-first and local-first approach. All data generated by the extension, including your usage statistics (time spent, videos watched) and settings, is stored locally on your device using Chrome's local storage engine. Limitra does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data to external servers or third parties.

Permissions Explained

  • Storage: Used exclusively to save your configuration and daily counters locally.
  • Host Access: Required to detect the active video URL and inject the blocking interface directly onto the supported platforms.
  • Alarms & Scripting: Necessary to keep track of your time limits accurately and enforce the block without page reloads.

Future Updates (Product Evolution)

As Limitra grows to offer advanced features (such as cross-device synchronization, premium accounts, and enhanced analytics), our infrastructure will evolve. We will update this privacy policy accordingly. However, our core philosophy remains unchanged: you will always have complete transparency and control over what data is collected and how it is used. We recommend checking this page periodically to stay informed.
